Happy Feet-Happy Me

I usually have some sort of a wise crack to make but Alzheimer's is serious and a little too close to my heart to make light of.  I want to thank the folks at Hawthorne Inn of Lakeland for all they are doing to put an end to this insidious disease.

Go Happy Feet !

Guaranteed Winner-The Shirt not the Game

Sometimes I get to have fun (not as much as these guys), I guaranteed a winning season if they wore my tux tees to the game.  Thank God they don't take me or themselves too seriously.

Thanks Classless Chaps and Good Luck this season

Wear a Tuxedo Tee and be Noticed, or at least found later

I have often had people tell me they stood out in the crowd at events, but this is the first time someone actually used it as a tool to find the rest of their party

VT in NY–
“To make sure no one was missed in the caravan to the rehearsal, on the fly I
thought about it and said: everyone go down to the lobby and introduce
yourselves to anyone else in a tuxedo t-shirt - they're with us!”

Good Karma and Tux Tees

Congratulations Kim and Chris
I get pictures and back stories all the time from my Tuxedo Tee clients and every so often I feel the love, I'm sorry if that sounds corny but it is true. Rather than having separate bachelor-bachelorette parties I think doing a Jack and Jill together creates the karma necessary to get things going in the right direction. I think the back of the shirt was a great play on words

Disclaimer : Wearing a tux tee does not guarantee a long relationship, but we like to think so....

Kim Busam and Chris Gateman are getting married on September 1, 2012 in Providence, RI.  Because they both went to school out of state and have many circles of friends who live in different parts of the country, instead of doing the traditional "Bachelor" and "Bachelorette" parties they opted for a Jack & Jill Party that was held on July 21, 2012 so all these different friends could come together and meet prior to the wedding.

To help bring everyone together, Chris and Kim decided to order sleeveless tuxedo t-shirts to be worn by those in attendance.   After all, as Chris' childhood friend Brent Capuano pointed out, "these shirts let you know you are classy but ready to party!"   Because Kim has an "interesting" last name, Chris' best man, Rob Weller, referenced the famous scene from the movie "Old School" to come up with the slogan for the back of the t-shirts: "One BUSAM For The Rest Of Your Life..."

During the morning, Kim and her bridesmaids/girlfriends met for a brunch then proceeded to Newport, RI for wine tasting at a local vineyard followed by a picnic at Bretton Point State Park.  Meanwhile, Chris and his guy friends began distributing the tuxedo t-shirts to break up into "black" and "white" teams as they engaged in softball/football games at the local town field.

Around 3:00 pm, the girls and guys came together at Chris' parents house in Greenville, RI for an afternoon/evening of barbecuing, lounging in the pool, drinking at the cabana bar, yardgames, and eating mores around the fire-pit.

The day went off without a hitch as the weather cooperated and Kim and Chris were able to celebrate this special day surrounded by so many dear friends that live both near and far.  As for the t-shirts, they were the icing on the cake as they created a memory for all!

Dirty Pictures in Tuxedo Tees

Sorry I know at least a few people expected some different pictures, but these are great shots none the less.  I really appreciate getting these pictures back as I learn that to have fun you have to get a little dirty.

Formal at Sea Followup

What a great suggestion from one of our regulars. We created this pin to attach to one of our favorite Tuxedo Tees. Want to use the t-shirt again for a different event? Just take the pin off and enjoy

We wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed wearing our Tuxedo Shirts on our most recent cruise in February on Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Sea. We decided to opt out of the suggested Gown and Tuxedo attire and wear our Tuxedo T-shirts to the formal dinner. We received many complements from other cruisers and even from the crew. We could sense many individuals wished they had their own Tuxedo T-Shirt. We had one negative response as we were walking out, in a single line, part of our group overhead a “seasoned cruiser” formally dressed say “Oh My God”. We couldn’t help but laugh, because you just cannot take life so seriously. Being able to order additional bow ties allowed us to where our shirts for the second formal night as well.

We had several inquiries as to where we had purchased our shirts and gave everyone that ask your website address. Since this was such a big hit we thought we would send you a photo and suggest a “Formal Night at Sea” marketing promotion.

Vintage T-Shirt meet "The Boys"

Perfect...black and white photo of our vintage tuxedo tee in action.

Can't tell you enough how awesome those shirts are.  Huge hit with the guys and were certainly a conversation starter throughout the weekend.  They were exactly what I had hoped they would have been if not exceeded my expectations.  Here is one photo that I think sells it all nicely.  If I can find any others that don't fall into the "I wish that didn't exist" category I will certainly share.

When Does Size Matter?

When does size matter? When you are trying to get a shirt that fits. If you thought this post was regarding something else, I am sorry but if you want information on how to size our t-shirts I can help with that. There is no such thing as Good,Better,Best when it comes to our Women's Tuxedo T-Shirts; we offer so many styles in the hopes of finding just the right fit. Without further adieu....

This is the smallest we offer and looks great on those looking for a tight fit and prefer a smaller tighter fit this one for sure is considered junior sizing.  If you are a size 10 or larger this might not be the shirt for you.

This one is fitted and we have found it to look good on those in sizes ranging from 2 to 12.  It is tight and more form fitting then your standard tee and we consider this to be in the junior to missy class of fit.

For lack of a better description this one is right in between the fitted (above) and the missy tee(below) This one leans on the smaller size and we have found women from size 3 to 12 like this shirt.  It is not skin tight

Now this one is what we refer to as Missy size.  Little larger than the fitted or juniors but slimmer than our ladies or womens. Here is the size scale associated with this shirt:
Missy T-shirt Guide and Specs(non fitted)
S
M
L
XL XXL
Size
3/5
7/9
11/13
15/17 17/19
Bust 30-32 33-35 36-37 38-39 40-41

This Tux Tee is truly unisex but of a slimmer cut making it work for women and slimmer men. It is one of the nicest tees we print on.  Very soft and sleeves are not too long ladies.

Our ladies tuxedo t-shirt is more of a standard t-shirt cut.  The men's and ladies do not differ in size all that much.  What is different about this shirt is the sleeves are a little shorter and the neck a little more open.

Plus sizes up to XXXX are now available

Finally if you know what is good for you don't forget the "Mom" in your group. Anyways just because you are with child doesn't mean you can't have fun.

OK that's not all of them, but my post is getting long enough.  As far as I know no one offers this many styles in a ladies tuxedo t-shirt.  If I missed something leave it in the comments below or call the office I will be happy to hop on the phone 585-254-3018

Formal at Sea with our Tux Tee

I get Pics and letters all the time, but sometimes the emotion or in this case "fun" comes right through below is a nice e-mail I received from are Sea Faring Friends

Selling Tuxedo Tees, I have the best job

How often have you heard anyone say they have fun at work?  OK now you can say at least once. I enjoy my job; people call in excited for an event and I get pictures back with smiling faces almost everyday.  Beats flipping burgers(I did that too).

This is one of the funniest, well written e-mails I have received from a Tux Tee client just had to share.

I not only LUV-LUV-LUV my tuxedo t shirt, I have to tell you I wore it for the first time last night. To a formal cigar banquet of 250 puffers and some 35 cigar reps. And all we skirt-flirting antebellum boys returned to what we were before we were squeezed and compromised into ties and suits. And, I brought out the smiles of forgotten mischief when I strolled in with such elan, such savoir faire, such cocky contempt for our peite bourgeoise arrogance. In fact, not long after we smoked, ate, drank and oogled  in the revelry of our lying eyes I got to do what I always said I'd do: Sell the shirt right off my back to the highest bidder......

he does continue to tell me of some other exploits best kept, Thanks PA that made me smile

Here are some Pics from this month
